Access Code Utilization and Expiration

posted on

Access Codes can be used to create user accounts in parent and child LMS portals, assign Learners membership in a Team, award Learning Roles, and even assign LMS Admin status.

With the 3.03 release of the Accord LMS, Access Codes can now have specific and limited utilization, start and expiration dates and come in a list of uniquely formatted codes for one shot use.

Utilization

The Utilization Limit determines how many times a given Access Code can be used.  If Create Unique is selected, then a list of unique Access Codes will be created and available for download in a CSV file.  When utilization thresholds are approached, notifications will be sent to the Notification email addresses.

For both common and unique Access Codes, the CSV file will track when the Access Code was utilized and by which user and by what method.

Expiration

Start and End dates can be set for the LMS Access Code.  When expiration thresholds are approached, notifications will be sent to the Notification email addresses.

Using Access Codes

Access Codes can be submitted from the Accord LMS Learner UI, Storefront, Bulk Role Assignment and Bulk Import.  They can also be submitted from third party modules such as Dynamic Forms, Dynamic Registration and from links on web forms or emails.
